What is the MCH?

Meteorology, Climatology and Hydrology (MCH) is a database management system ( DBMS )* based on open-source databases and software.

The system, developed by Mexico and adapted by the Cooperation Program for National Meteorological and Hydrological Centers of Ibero-America (SMHN), was transferred to the WMO in 2011.

Originally developed in Spanish, all the software has been translated into English and French.

MCH can be used on a single computer (stand-alone configuration) or in a network configuration (Client–Server). It also allows you to connect automatic stations and collect data in real time.
